We have been locally owned and operated since 1992 providing canteen, catering and food solutions, building strong relationships and understanding the unique needs of our schools and their communities.
We supply over 60,000 meals per week, promote healthy eating without compromising quality and taste and help educate students by delivering a healthy, tasty menu with all the nutritional components required.
We employ local staff who know the community where they work and have strong connections to our schools and students.
Healthy School Lunches
The Good Vibes Company is a preferred supplier for the Ka Ora, Ka Ako | Healthy School Lunches Programme in conjunction with the Ministry of Education. We offer a variety of hot and cold lunches and cater for all special dietary needs including Halal, vegetarian, gluten and dairy free. Students with special dietary needs or cultural preferences are provided with a menu in advance in line with The Healthy School Lunches Programme and allows us to manage allergens for student safety and wellbeing. Each menu is different in any given week during the term on a 10-week cycle with portion sizes appropriate for the student age group.
Food and Safety Compliance
The quality and safety of lunches is vital and Good Vibes has its own in-house A grade food production facility, warehouse and dedicated food delivery service with an approved Food Safety Control Plan in place.
- Our Food and Safety Technical Specialist ensures our food, safety and health compliance obligations are met at our Good Vibes Company managed school canteens.
- Quality assurance inspections and robust testing is carried out at all stages of our manufacturing and distribution process.
- We ensure our catering equipment is asset tagged and maintained.
- Special dietary menus are prepared in an off-site kitchen, away from central production to ensure no cross-contamination.
Waste Management
The Good Vibes Company is proactive in sustainability initiatives.
- Waste management is a key component in reducing our carbon footprint.
- All our meals are packaged in environmentally compostable and carbon neutral packaging.
We work alongside schools to remove all waste material associated with the Ka Ora, Ka Ako | Healthy School Lunches Programme.
